PHOTOS: Truck fire near Multnomah Falls closes section of I-84

PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — A commercial truck fire prompted a response from emergency crews and closed down a section of I-84 late Thursday morning.

The incident closed down the eastbound right lane near milepost 36, about five miles east of Multnomah Falls, according to TripCheck .

According to Corbett Fire , the flames from the truck also started a “small grass fire.” Both Corbett Fire and Cascade Locks Fire stopped the fire, officials said.

Officials have not yet released the cause of the fire.
