2 arrested at McMinnville massage business

PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — Two women were arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into illicit massage businesses in McMinnville, authorities.

According to McMinnville police, over 18 months, they received several complaints about Energy Foot Spa & Massage on Highway 99W.

Customers reported being offered sexual services by massage therapists for an additional fee and in some cases, they reported inappropriate and unwanted physical contact.

Police said they conducted an undercover operation where two therapists offered to perform sex acts on the undercover agents and they had unwanted sexual contact with them.

On Wednesday, a warrant was served at the massage business and the two massage therapists involved were identified and arrested. During the investigation, authorities said multiple indicators of possible human trafficking activity were identified at the massage parlor.

When the warrant was served, officials said a Victim’s Advocate from the Yamhill County District Attorney’s Office was present and the massage therapists were offered assistance from outreach and social services programs.

The investigation is ongoing; anyone with information about this or any other illicit activity is asked to contact McMinnville police.

Two other illicit massage businesses were also served warrants last month in Newberg.

McMinnville police said that no link was established between this and Newberg investigations.
