    Police ID man killed in Southeast Portland shooting as homicide investigation continues

    PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — Police have identified the man who was killed in a shooting in Southeast Portland’s Powellhurst-Gilbert Neighborhood on Monday night as 50-year-old Lorenzo U. Miranda.

    The family was notified of his death and provided a photo for public release, the Portland Police Bureau said in a release. The Medical Examiner has determined Miranda died of homicide by gunshot wound.

    The shooting happened around 7:35 p.m. in the 12000 block of Southeast Division Street, officials said. Officers found a man seriously wounded but, despite emergency measures, the man died at the scene.

    No arrests have been made, and no other details were immediately available.

    Anyone with information about the shooting is encouraged to call Portland police.
