These are the best burger spots in Vancouver of all time, according to Yelp

PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) – For Vancouver Week at KOIN 6 News, we asked Yelp to compile a list of the best burger restaurants in the city.

Yelp ranked the burger joints on several factors including the total volume and rating of reviews — with a list including burgers with “napkins required” and a burger that’s “sexy as a mutha.”

Crave Grille

Scoring the number one spot on the list, Crave Grille — on Northeast 4th Plain Boulevard — has the most Yelp reviews on the list (843) and has a 4.2-star rating.

According to Yelp, popular dishes include the zombie burger – which includes 1 pound of Kobe blend burgers, pepper jack and cheddar cheese, bacon, ham, habanero relish, and fried egg – and the ooey gooey burger – their take on the Hawaiian “Loco Moco” with cheese, fried egg, and brown gravy with “napkins required.”

The restaurant also has a burger of the month special.

“Crave Grille specializes in using fresh ingredients to create the best dining experience in Vancouver. From fresh pasta, to American style KOBE beef burgers. Be sure to check in with Crave’s Happy Hour menu which is one of the biggest and best in Vancouver,” the business wrote on their Yelp page.

Stack 571 Burger and Whiskey Bar

Earning the second spot on the Yelp list is Stack 571 Burger and Whiskey Bar on Parkway Place.

According to Yelp, popular dishes include the fatted sow burger — which includes bacon, bourbon-bacon slaw, and bacon-whiskey jam.

Other popular dishes include the banh mi burger – with pickled daikon and carrot slaw, and sriracha mayo – and the poutine burger with rich gravy, crisp fries, mozzarella, and smoky bacon.

“Stack 571 Burger and Whiskey Bar has an atmosphere that only true experts in living life to the fullest would appreciate. Join us and experience a gourmet burger the likes of which even you, adventurous spirit, have never seen,” the business wrote on Yelp.

Smack Town

Earning the third spot on Yelp’s list, Smack Town has the highest star rating of the featured restaurants with 4.6 stars.

Located inside Vancouver Mall, the burger joint recently fulfilled some special orders, including a Krispy Kreme PB&J burger and a banh mi burger they described as “sexy as a mutha…”

One Yelp reviewer who ordered the Smack Burger described it as “filling, juicy and flavor town all the way.”

Main Event Sports Grill

In the heart of downtown Vancouver, Main Event Sports Grill earned the fourth spot on the all-time best burger restaurant list.

The sports bar describes itself as a high-end sports grill with homegrown attitude.

According to Yelp, popular dishes include the peanut butter burger, the garlic burger, and the veggie burger.

“We offer great food, great staff, 10 HD TVs, and most of all we offer a chill upscale atmosphere,” the restaurant’s website says.

Shanahan’s Pub & Grill

Shanahan’s Pub & Grill claimed the number five spot on Yelp’s list as a casual neighborhood pub and whiskey bar.

The pub’s burger menu includes The Shany Burger — which includes bacon, ham, and egg — and The Fightin’ Irish with braised corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese.

“We offer all the amenities that other bars offer such as pool tables, arcade games, and more. We also offer a full menu that tries to offer something for everyone. Whether you like fresh smoked BBQ or are vegan,” Shanahan’s website says.

The pub’s newest addition, The Infirmary, was also ranked among the best bars in Vancouver by Yelp.

JB’s Taphouse & Grill

JB’s Taphouse & Grill rounds out Yelp’s list with a 4.2-star rating.

Popular dishes include the Fire Burger with crispy jalapenos, green chiles, pepper jack and a “kickin’ aioli sauce.”

Their burger menu also includes the Peanut Butter Bacon Burger with creamy peanut butter sauce and bacon, topped with sweet and savory tomato jam.

The restaurant told KOIN 6 News “We strive to provide a fresh product to our customers and take making every burger we offer very serious.”
