    OR-47 reopens near Vernonia after brush fire

    PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — OR-47 has reopened in the Vernonia area Wednesday night after a brush fire caused both lanes to shut down.

    The road closure happened at milepost 61, halfway between U.S. 26 and Mist, the Oregon Department of Transportation announced.

    City to close part of Mt. Tabor dog park for repairs

    Firefighting efforts required the road to be closed around 6 p.m. By 7:30 p.m., ODOT announced the road was reopened.

    Officials cautioned drivers to watch out for slowdowns, emergency responders and traffic near the detour on Stoney Point Road.
