PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) – Authorities have released the names of the Beaverton police officers involved in a shooting that left one man dead in Cascade Plaza on Monday evening.

Officers shot Jacob Daniel Bundy, 39, of Portland outside the Nordstrom Rack at 9175 SW Cascade Ave. after they “attempted to detain him” and he pulled out a gun, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

“After a struggle in which Bundy fired his gun, Bundy was shot by police,” the office said on Monday.

Four days later, the sheriff’s office identified Ryan Garbutt and Juan Flores as the two police officers involved in the shooting. Officer Garbutt had spent 20 years with Beaverton police while Officer Flores was in his final phase of training with the department.

I hope he gets fired as he and fellow officer violated my privacy as a woman and as a citizen of this country. they stood and watched through the door of my cell as they made me do a UA after my arrest to detect alcohol and they did not call a female to pat me down before arrest. I also was not given the option of a breathalyzer test until nearly 4 hours after my arrest

officer Garbutt used what I believe to be excessive force during a wrongful arrest against me in May of this year. this doesn't surprise me. half of the beaverton police department pulled me over WHILE STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT waiting to turn left at the intersection of lombard and canyon road. I do not believe for any reason that number of officers should have come out on the suspicion of a "wreckless driver". did I mention I was at a RED LIGHT COMPLETELY STOPPED?! 8 officers approached my vehicle guns drawn and garbutt proceeded to yank me out of my vehicle and I was confused as I was not showing any signs of resistance.....
