Portland police identify man killed in Sumner neighborhood shooting

PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — The man who was killed in a shooting in the Sumner neighborhood has been identified as 37-year-old Ryan Stone Zinkand, the Portland Police Bureau announced.

North Precinct officers responded to the shooting at Northeast 92nd Avenue and Webster Street at 3:31 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1 , when Zinkand was found injured in the street.

He was pronounced dead later at a hospital. A medical examiner determined he died of homicide by gunshot wound.

According to PPB, no arrests have been made and the potential suspect or suspects fled the scene before officers arrived. Authorities are asking anyone with further information on the incident to contact detectives.
