PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Some possibly explosive items found at a vacant Vancouver house were blown up by Clark County officials Monday morning.

Around 9 a.m., workers from company hired by a bank to clean the property at 7108 NE 133rd spotted a broken window and writing on the walls, then called authorities to check the house for occupants, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said.

When deputies arrived to check the house, they spotted the “suspicious devices” outside the house and called the Explosive Detonation Unit. Once they arrived, the streets were closed off until the items “were detonated in a controlled manner.”

No one was hurt and the investigation is ongoing.
