Oregon City police arrest man for luring a minor

PORTLAND, Ore. ( PORTLAND TRIBUNE ) — The Oregon City Police Department arrested 26-year-old Cody Allen Hinze for crimes including luring a minor, purchasing sex with a minor and online first-degree sexual corruption of a child on Tuesday, Sept. 10.

The department began investigating Hinze in August. During an undercover chat, Hinze solicited a person he thought to be a 15-year-old girl to engage in sexual acts, according to a release from the department. Hinze was placed in Clackamas County Jail upon his arrest.

The department is concerned he has additional victims and asked those with information to call the Oregon City Police Department tip line at 503-905-3505 and reference case number 24-018716.
