FORECAST: Ducks, Beavers battle under scattered showers Saturday

PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — A few scattered rain showers will keep temperatures mild around the greater Portland, Vancouver metro area Saturday.

A few early morning rain showers will be the first wave of moisture along the Willamette Valley Saturday. Another round of rain will move through the I-5 corridor during the afternoon hours. Saturday’s rainfall could be heavy at times, but will be brief. Those going to the big Ducks vs. Beavers game at Reser Stadium Saturday should prepare for mild temperatures and few scattered showers.

Rain accumulation will be minimal through the weekend. The greatest amounts of rainfall will near a quarter of an inch along the coast and Willamette Valley.

Much of the Pacific Northwest will see drying and warming conditions by the start of the week. It’s not long-lasting. Another round of widespread and potentially heavy rain returns to the region Tuesday. That wet weather early next week will drop afternoon highs to the mid 60s.

A few lingering showers will take the Portland, Vancouver area into the middle of the week. Drier, warmer, and sunnier weather return to the Pacific Northwest by the end of next week.
