PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — A driver was rescued after their vehicle plunged into a ravine off of I-84 near Hood River on Saturday.

Hood River police, fire crews, paramedics, Oregon State Police, as well as the Crag Rats – a nonprofit volunteer rescue team based in the area – spent around an hour rescuing the driver from the vehicle.

The driver was then taken to a nearby hospital.
