PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — Thirty-three people were arrested during a two-day mission in Portland, authorities said.

According to Portland Police, on Sept. 13 and 14, with help from Oregon State Police, the Gresham Police Department, Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office and the Multnomah District Attorney Access Program, police conducted a criminal interdiction mission in East Portland.

The mission focused on open drug use near Southeast 122nd Avenue and East Burnside Street and Southeast 148th Avenue and East Burnside Street, officials said, with a goal of addressing criminal drug possession and dealing.

Three lawsuits filed against Oregon Youth Authority staff, citing sexual abuse

In total, authorities said they made 33 arrests over the two days and gave out six citations. Of the 33, three were eligible for deflection and two accepted.

Authorities also said that 22 vehicles were stopped, one stolen vehicle was recovered, one firearm was seized and various amounts of fentanyl, methamphetamine, heroin and cocaine were also seized.

Portland police said they plan on doing more missions in the future.
