PHOTOS: Final few days of dahlia season for Swan Island Dahlias

PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — The late summer to early fall blooms of the dahlia fields in Canby are coming to a close as October approaches.

Swan Island Dahlias ‘ flowers put on quite the show for the first official day of autumn, Sunday, September 22, 2024. The shorter days, longer nights, and cooler temperature trends expected near the end of September means your time to enjoy the flowers is running out.

The flower fields of Swan Island Dahlias will continue to be on display through the end of September. This comes as gardeners prepare for the new growing season in spring of 2025.
