One person dies in Hillsboro industrial accident

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — One person was killed in an industrial accident in Hillsboro Tuesday morning, officials said.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene near the intersection of SE Cornelius Pass Road and SE Kinnamon in South Hillsboro. But the person had already died by the time they arrived around 10:40 a.m.

Authorities did not say how the accident happened, what company was involved or if anyone else was injured. They did say the Technical Rescue Team from Hillsboro Fire & Rescue was called to the scene because of the “complexity of the incident.”

Other crews from Hillsboro police and TVF&R also arrived at the scene.

The incident remains under investigation. No other information is available at this time.
