One left seriously injured after Northwest Portland shooting

PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — Portland police are investigating a shooting Thursday night that left one person with serious injuries.

Police said officers responded to a call of someone reportedly shot in Northwest Portland. When they arrived, they found someone with “serious injuries.”

“They provided trauma first aid until paramedics arrived and transported the adult male victim to the hospital by ambulance,” a Portland Police Bureau spokesperson confirmed to KOIN 6 News via email. “The injuries are serious but believed to be non-life threatening.”

No suspects were found and no one was arrested, officials said.

During the investigation, police closed Northwest 8th Avenue between Northwest Couch Street and Northwest Davis Street.
