PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) – Right now is prime time for all things streaming, thanks to all the great shows to watch.

The first one to take a look at is “The Penguin,” a series based on the character “Penguin” from “The Batman” movie starring Robert Pattinson.

Ozwald “Oz” Cobb is played by Colin Farrell, and the series follows the Penguin’s rise to power following the death of crime boss Carmine Falcone.

The first episode dropped Thursday, Sept. 19, and feels like a modern crime drama set in the Batman world. The first two episodes of “The Penguin” are now out on MAX.

KOIN 6 News producer, Adam, said it almost has a “Sopranos” feel — showing the “softer” side of Penguin along with his vicious side.

The second series, a Marvel show called “Agatha All Along,” is now out on Disney Plus. It follows witch Agatha Harkness after she was put under a spell by the Scarlet Witch at the end of Wandavision.

The creators behind the series say the show is the second part of a trilogy series, with “WandaVision” being the first. The story follows Agatha as she comes out of the spell and forms a witches coven to traverse the witches road, where she will receive what she wants most.

The first two episodes premiered last week, and new episodes will be released at 6 a.m. on Wednesday.

And premiering in theaters this weekend is Francis Ford Coppola’s new movie “Megalopolis,” coming from the legendary director known for classics such as “The Godfather” and “Apocalypse Now.

The self-financed movie has been controversial, as it bucks recent Hollywood trends.

Adam Driver plays Ceasar, the main character who is fighting to a utopian future. Reviews say there are elements of space and time travel, and it has been described as an “epic science fiction film”.

Critics have been divided, with some loving the unique direction while others simply hate it. There’s a lot of famous faces from Shia LaBeouf to Giancarlo Espositio to Jon Voight.

And lastly, “The Substance” starring Demi Moore is also in theaters this weekend. It’s been described as a satirical horror that targets unrealistic beauty standards.

So far, the reviews from both critics and audience have been pretty solid.

The story centers on Moore’s character, which in a meta way is a fading celebrity. She discovers a black market drug that creates a young and better version of herself. Of course, from there, things get a bit crazy.
