PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — With another year inching away, Condé Nast Traveler has once again called on its readers to rate the best places to spend a getaway.

The media company garnered more than 575,048 votes for the 2024 Reader’s Choice Awards. A number of Oregon’s airports, resorts and hotels earned bragging rights when the results were revealed on Tuesday.

Top Resorts in the Pacific Northwest

Oregon nabbed two out of five spots on the list of the region’s best resorts. The Sunriver Resort ranked at No. 1, with a score of 95.81 points out of 100. The 3,300-acre stay holds a wellness spa, golf courses and about 10 restaurants and cafes to choose from.

Also in Central Oregon, Tetherow Lodges in Bend secured second place with 95.34 points. The dog-friendly lodges include 50 hotel rooms as well as vacation rental homes for longer stays. Guests have access to hot tubs, fireplaces and nearby recreational areas like Mt. Bachelor.

Top Hotels in the Pacific Northwest

Oregon also took home eight out of 10 Reader’s Choice Awards for best hotels in the Pacific Northwest. Notably, Portland’s The Nines hotel fell from No. 1 last year to No. 10 this year. Other familiar winners are found in Newberg, Bend and Astoria.

The Best Airports in the United States

Portland International Airport has maintained its title as a top 10 U.S. airport, even though it was knocked down one spot to No. 9. Conde Nast described PDX as one of the most traveler-friendly airports, which could be increasingly true with the main terminal’s recent renovation.
