PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — Grammy-Award-winning artist André 3000 was spotted shopping in Eugene one week ahead of his show in Portland.

On Oct. 11, vinyl shop House of Records shared a selfie featuring one of its employees and the former OutKast member. Briefly after leaving the store, it appears he stopped for another photo with fellow artists Blu & Exile, Fashawn and Sirplus — who recently performed at their own show at Mississippi Records.

    Positively Portland

“Just stopped off to hit a record shop and the legend was coming out!” hip-hop duo Blu & Exile wrote on Instagram .

André 3000 also posed for a photo with a worker at vintage store The Racks — but the musician is no stranger to Eugene.

He and former bandmate Big Boi surprised Autzen Stadium with their attendance at a University of Oregon football game against the University of Arizona in September 2021. Big Boi’s son Cross Patton was a UO running back for three years.

Following his Eugene visit, André 3000 is set to perform at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall on Oct. 14 in support of his flute album “New Blue Sun.”
