PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Monday night is Debate Night for Washington’s 3rd Congressional District on KOIN 6.

Here’s what you need to know about the debate between incumbent U.S. Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez and Republican challenger Joe Kent .

The debate will be moderated by KOIN 6 Political Director Ken Boddie and reporter Lisa Balick.

Each candidate will get one minute for a response.

If we decide to follow up, or if a rebuttal is needed, each candidate will get 30 seconds.

At the end of the debate, which will feature one commercial break, each candidate will get a one-minute closing statement with no rebuttals.

The debate starts at 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 14 and will last an hour.
