Wallet Wednesday: Celebrating women-owned small businesses

PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — October is National Women’s Small Business Month, but 50 years ago, celebrating women-owned small businesses was unheard of.

Women couldn’t even get a credit card without a man’s signature until 1974, but that law changed 50 years ago on October 28.

AM Extra was joined by Tara Kinateder from Ferguson Wellman to talk about women in today’s business culture.
