    Erykah Badu set to headline Biamp Portland Jazz Festival’s first arena show

    PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — R&B songstress Erykah Badu is set to take the stage at the Biamp Portland Jazz Festival next year.

    Festival organizers unveiled the lineup featuring the “queen of neo-soul” on Monday. Slated for Feb. 21 at the Moda Center, Badu’s performance will mark the event’s first-ever arena show.

    Portland’s top 25 restaurants at the moment, according to The New York Times

    “We are incredibly excited to host Erykah Badu at the Moda Center,” PDX Jazz Executive Director and CEO Chris Doss said in the announcement . “This is a testament to the growth of our organization and the increasing importance of jazz in Portland’s cultural landscape. This year’s lineup, featuring a mix of jazz greats and rising stars, showcases the dynamic range of the genre. We can’t wait to share this experience with our community.”

    There are more than 60 shows and other events scheduled for the festival from Feb. 20 to March 1, 2025.

    While not all shows will be held in the 20,000-seat-capacity Moda Center , concertgoers will visit other local venues like the Newmark Theatre, Revolution Hall and the Jack London Revue.

    Outside of Badu, other performers include Terrence Blanchard, Christian McBride and Ravi Coltrane.

    PDX Jazz members can purchase tickets for the festival now. The general public can secure their tickets starting Friday, Oct. 18.
