Hillsboro firefighters respond to van blaze in parking structure

PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — A van on fire inside of a Hillsboro parking structure prompted response from fire crews late Thursday morning.

Just after 10:30 a.m., Hillsboro fire crews responded to reports of a car fire in a parking structure near 2500 NE Century Blvd.

On arrival, they found a single van on fire and no one inside of it.

There were cars parked near the van, but firefighters were able to quickly contain the blaze to the one vehicle and put it out soon after.

Although no injuries were reported, it’s unclear if any vehicles parked by the fire sustained any damage.

Officials are currently working to investigate the cause of the fire.
