The Portland National Weather Service has issued Freeze Warnings , Frost Advisories , and a Freeze Watch for parts of western Oregon Friday morning. Portland isn’t expected to see any freezing conditions as temperatures remain in the low 40s. Farther south along the Willamette Valley is where cool temperatures are expected.

Parts of Marion, Linn, Benton, and Lane Counties are under the Frost Advisory. That’s where temperatures could fall low enough to develop frost on some surfaces. Sensitive plants should be protected in these conditions.

On the other extreme, Freeze Warnings are in effect for parts of Hood River County. This is just north of Mt. Hood. That’s where temperatures will likely fall to or below the freezing mark of 32-degrees.

East of the Cascades, the Freeze Watch that was in place is now under a Freeze Warning as colder temperatures are now in the forecast. That includes parts of south central Washington and around Pendleton.

Friday’s temperatures will warm above freezing quickly. A few stray rain showers will move through the Willamette Valley by the afternoon hours. That will keep daytime highs around Portland in the upper 50s.
