PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — A crash near Molalla Friday morning closed a section of OR 211 in both directions for several hours, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation.

By 2:30 p.m., both lanes were reopened, though officials said it may take some time for the backed-up traffic to fully clear.

ODOT said the crash happened one mile west of Colton at milepost 20.

According to Molalla Fire District, the intersection at Highway 211 and Dhooghe Road was closed and travelers were encouraged to avoid the area.

Although there was a detour in place, officials say heavy traffic may cause delays.
