But the Boxers could not complete the comeback, falling 51-37 Saturday afternoon at Lewis & Clark.

The Pioneers, who raced out to a 17-0 lead, extended their advantage to 27-7 at halftime.

After Lewis & Clark opened the second half with a 10-play, 69-yard scoring drive, Pacific answered with touchdown runs by Brody Bantolina and Kalai Pasi to get the Boxers within 34-20 with 4:21 remaining in the third quarter.
