    Jim Umbarger

According to the Kokomo Police Department, James “Jim” Umbarger went missing from his Kokomo home on Thursday. A family member last spoke to Umbarger around 2 p.m. where he learned that the missing man was somewhere in the Fort Wayne area. Umbarger was unsure how he had gotten there.

Police said the family has not been able to contact Umbarger since and are worried that Umbarger will not be able to find his way back to Kokomo.

Umbarger was last seen driving a white 2000 Cadillac DeVille with a blue cloth top bearing Indiana license plate UWJ534.

State police issued a statewide Silver Alert at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. State police said Umbarger may be in extreme danger and require medical aid.

Anyone with information about Umbarger is asked to contact Sergeant Andrew Grammer #411 at (765) 456-7411 or at agrammer@cityofkokomo.org.
