Norwood falls in Class 2 state semifinals

COLUMBIA, Mo–The other Class 2 girls basketball semifinal featured Norwood against Principia.

This is the second straight trip to the Final Four for the Pirates.

But Principia built a big early lead, Jayla Hawkins with this three pointer 10-0 Panthers.

Norwood would get back in it, Quinncy Vestal with the three, it’s only a two point deficit.

Third quarter, the Pirates Addy Gray hits a three, and it’s 21-18 Principia.

But the Panthers would put it away late, freshman Dasia Scott with a three, three of her 24 points and 14 rebounds.

And Norwood loses to Principia 37-25.
