    Johnson scores 39, Weaubleau stuns Salisbury

    COLUMBIA, Mo–The other Class 2 boys basketball semifinal had Weaubleau against the defending state champions Salisbury.

    The Panthers built a huge lead early, Cooper Francis swishes the three, it’s 13-2 Salisbury.

    The Panthers led by 11, but Weaubleau stormed back in the second half.

    Third quarter, Gage Johnson with the three, Tigers in front 35-32.

    Later, Johnson drives the lane, and finishes with the reverse layup, Weaubleau by four.

    Johnson hits another three, he was unstoppable in the second half, ended the game with 39 points.

    And Weaubleau wins 70-61 and will play Hartville Thursday for the Class 2 championship.
