DIAMOND CITY, Ark. — It has been a wild week at city hall in the small town of Diamond City, Arkansas.

On Tuesday night, Mayor Jaime Nuessner turned in his letter of resignation. Several other council members and city employees – including the police chief – followed suit.

The next two days brought uncertainty and confusion in the tourist city of less than 800 people on Bull Shoals Lake.

But Councilman Larry Hurtt tells OzarksFirst that at a council meeting on Thursday night, the council members and employees rescinded their resignations – except for the mayor.

Hurtt says the council never voted on the resignations on Tuesday so they never officially took effect.

Remember when Mike Huckabee was all set to take the Oath of Goobernator when his lying predecessor was going to jail? Remember when it was supposed to happen at noon and around 10, 1030 that morning there were rumors flying around that Tucker wasn't leaving and rescinding his resignation? #GoodTimes
