    Wildfire burns 12 acres in Webster County

    WEBSTER COUNTY, Mo. – A controlled burn got out of hand Thursday afternoon, according to the Fire Chief of the Logan-Rogersville Fire Protection District.

    The fire began as a man burned debris on his land, but the fire quickly got out of hand and left the man with a minor burn to his hand.

    The Logan-Rogersville Fire Protection District arrived at the wildfire off Persimmon Road at about 1:30 p.m. and worked to put out the fire.

    The fire burned a total of 12 acres, according to the Fire Chief.
