SPRINGFIELD–Down the street at Meador Park, Drury wrapped up it’s 4-game series with Great Lakes Valley foe, Quincy. Panthers outscored the Hawks 18-12 over the first two contests, but lost by 8 yesterday.

Top 1, Quincy already up 1-0, Joe Huffman singles to right driving in run number 2 of the inning.

Next batter, JD Ortiz with a baltimore chop that just clears the glove of Luke Burk. The rbi-double plated Brock Boyton to give the Hawks a 3-0 head start.

At the dish, Panthers struggled to figure out Seth West for a hot minute. He didn’t allow a single hit until the 3rd inning.

However, despite these one-sided highlights, Drury rattled off 7 runs in the 7th to take the lead for good and three out of four from Quincy, winning 11-6.
