GAINESVILLE, Mo. — What was just a quick pick ticket turned into $50,000 for one Missouri Lottery player last week.

According to the Missouri Lottery, a woman bought a Powerball ticket at the Phillips 66 on 78 1st St. in Gainesville, Missouri for the May 18 drawing.

After the drawing, she realized that her ticket had four of the five correct white-ball numbers and the correct red Powerball number, winning a prize of $50,000.

“I was in shock! It still doesn’t feel real,” she said.

Shortly afterward, she asked her boss for the day off to claim her prize.

“I needed to go claim it!” she laughed.

    The winning numbers on May 18 were 19, 36, 37, 42 and 59, with a Powerball number of 19.

The Powerball hosts drawings every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 9:59 p.m.
