Texas County homes hit by tornado

TEXAS COUNTY, Mo. – According to The Texas County Office of Emergency Management, Texas County is working to clean up after a tornado touched down Sunday evening.

Texas County Emergency Management Director Bill Karatzas said that a tornado hit two homes in Houston, but no one was at home at the time.

He said that the storms hit Houston the worst, but damage stretches from south of Houston to Cabool.

Crews are out assessing the damage. Power was out briefly, but has now been restored to residents.

The Office of Emergency Management says they expect more reports of damage to come in as the night continues.
