Patrick Ransdell, MSU AD Finalist, holds public forum

SPRINGFIELD–The second finalist for the Missouri State Athletic Director position held public court, Friday afternoon.

Patrick Ransdell, the Deputy Athletic Director at Appalachian State, spoke with MSU faculty, alumni, and fans in the Prime Overtime Club at Great Southern Bank Arena.

Ransdell gave his background and shared some of his previous accomplishments at his current institution and prior stops, before holding a roughly 30-40 minute Q&A with curious audience members.

Ransdell reiterated that the building block of the desired growth and progress MSU wants to see in the next 5-10 years – with both renovations and funding for those renovations – required someone who understand how to cultivate and champion relationships.

Ransdell doubled down on that thought when he cited his ability to raise, roughly, half of Appalachain State’s 7-year $100 million initiative, in just the first three years.

Along with helping the school record back-to-back all-time football season ticket sales from 2022-23.
