    Rubber chicken throwing contest a staple at Iowa State Fair

    There’s fun to be had at the Iowa State Fair and there’s one tradition that gets quite a bit of attention – the rubber chicken throwing contest!

    It used to be done with rolling pins, until one person flung one too far, and went through the windshield of a police car.

    Now, they use the less hazardous rubber toy.
