SPRINGFIELD, Mo–The Springfield Cardinals opened up a six game home stand Tuesday night against Tulsa.

Springfield remains in first place in the Texas League North with a two game lead on Arkansas.

The baby birds roll into Tuesday night’s game winners of five of their last six.

The Tulsa Drillers are the Double AA affliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

And the Drillers would jump on Brandon Komar early.

Tulsa scored four runs in the first two innings and held the Cardinals offense in check.

But Springfield rallied late, just like they did all last week in Texas.

And Chris Rotondo capped off a six run bottom of the ninth inning with a grand slam, and Springfield wins 9-6.
