SPRINGFIELD, Mo–For nearly four years, Chandler Redmond has watched his teammates come and go.

Either promoted to Triple AAA Memphis, sent down to Peoria, traded or outright released.

Since 2021, Redmond has pulled on a Double AA Springfield uniform and played his heart out.

Wednesday, all that patience finally paid off.

St. Louis promoted the first baseman to Memphis.

Redmond leaves with 66 career homers in Springfield the most in franchise history.

In 2022, the 27-year old hit a home run cycle in one game, his bat went to the Cooperstown Hall of Fame.

We spoke with Redmond earlier this season about how tough his career has been.

“Getting sent back to the same spot I started doubting. Did I have a good year? It sounds crazy 31 homers, 92 RBI’s, it’s a great year. But being sent back and getting my release denied, it’s tough. Not only did they not want to promote me, but they don’t want to get rid of me either. So it’s been the hardest season of my life. It’s given me an opportunity to trust God’s plan. That’s one of my biggest prayers that I pray all the time, try to trust His timing and trust His plan,” said Redmond.
