Community Blood Center of the Ozarks to host Chiefs-themed blood drive

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO) will be hosting a Kansas City Chiefs-themed blood drive just before Labor Day weekend.

According to a press release from CBCO, the “Down. Set. Donate” Blood Drive will take place on Friday, August 30 at all four donation centers in Springfield, Joplin, Springdale and Bentonville.

• Springfield – Thomson Donor Center, 220 W. Plainview Rd.         8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Joplin – Joplin Donor Center, 101 N. Rangeline Rd.                      8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
• Springdale – Springdale Donor Center, 3503 S. Thompson St.      8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
• Bentonville – Bentonville Donor Center, 1400 SE Walton Blvd.   8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

If you donate during this time, you’ll be able to receive:

• An entry for a chance to win a Chiefs Tailgate package valued over $1,200
• A Vintage Chiefs T-shirt
• A voucher for two free general admission to Dickerson Park Zoo
• A ‘Go Wild. Give Blood.’ T-shirt

The Kansas City Chiefs mascot, KC Wolf, will be at the Springfield location on Friday. KC Wolf will be available for photos and autographs, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. for the community and from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. for CBCO donors.
