    Springfield man arrested after allegedly pulling a gun on 2 people

    SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A Springfield man was arrested after a dispute that resulted in the man displaying a gun and threatening to shoot two people.

    According to the Springfield Police Department, Michael Burnette, 70, was arrested for alleged domestic assault and unlawful use of a weapon.

    On Aug. 30, officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 1600 block of South Campbell Avenue. Upon arrival, two people told police about Burnette threatening to shoot them in the residence.

    Officers negotiated with Burnette until he surrendered without incident and was arrested and booked into the Greene County Jail with a bond set at $5,000.
