LAKE OZARK, Mo. — A Lake Ozark Fire Protection District (LOFPD) firefighter and EMT has died in the line of duty after battling cancer.

According to LOFPD, Charles “Chuck” King died on Saturday, September 7, after a long battle with occupational cancer. He has served with the LOFPD for 17 years.

“We ask that you keep Chuck’s family and the brothers and sisters of the lake area in your thoughts and prayers,” said LOFPD in a statement on Facebook.

Funeral arraignments are currently pending and the LOFPD will release information on those arraignments when they become available.
