Sunday, September 8th: Summer feel sneaking back

    By Matt Hefner,

It’s hard to complain about the weather when you have a weekend like this. If you loved yesterday’s cooler temperatures, you’re in store for another delightful day.

High temperatures today can be one or two degrees warmer than yesterday, however, the highs will stay trapped in the 70s. Skies will remain sunny with a light breeze out of the east.

Temperatures will be chilly again tonight. Expected to dip into the upper 40s for most.

We start a slow and steady warmup once the workweek returns. Everyday temps should be a couple of degrees warmer than the last. With that being said, Monday shouldn’t be too toasty of a day. However, a summertime feel will start to return by the middle of the week.

We have a small chance to get it for the latter half of the week. It all depends on how trouble in the tropics develops. The National Hurricane Center is listing 70% of a tropical depression forming this week.

If storms materialize into a more organized system, the remnants of this system could sling wet weather our week by Thursday or Friday. Fingers crossed as rainfall is becoming much needed.
