SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A Bolivar motorcyclist was arrested after an hour-long police chase through several counties.

According to court documents, Dalton Scott, 19, was arrested for charges of alleged resisting arrest and operating a motor vehicle in a careless manner.

On Sept. 6, around 9:15 p.m. at South Campbell Avenue and West Sunshine Street in Springfield, Scott was operating a motorcycle allegedly without a license plate. Deputies say Scott was in a group of other motorcyclists that refused to stop for the emergency lights and sirens of a fully marked patrol car.

The probable cause statement stated Scott allegedly drove into oncoming traffic multiple times, split between traffic at high speed and was causing a risk of serious injury to the public.

Scott drove through Springfield, Greene County and Chrisitan County, deputies say.

The pursuit occurred for nearly an hour, according to the probable cause statement.
