Bears looking for consistency in home opener

SPRINGFIELD, Mo–The Missouri State Bears will also be at home this weekend.

It’s the first home game of the season for Mo State who is also looking for its first victory of the season.

The Bears will play Lindenwood out of the Ohio Valley Conference.

The Lions are also winless at 0-2.

Lindenwood has recently moved up from NCAA Division Two to the FCS level.

And it’s the first time the Bears and Lions have met on the gridiron.

Missouri State has had problems with consistency, especially on defense.

In both of their losses to Montana and Ball State, the opponents have rallied late to win.

That’s something that seniors like safety P.J. Hall take personally and want to correct this week.

“You know coach said it, there are times we look really good. And there are times that we look like what are we doing out here? I feel like we really have to just stay focused throughout the whole game. And stay locked in. We have to execute on each and every call the coach gives us. We didn’t do that in the fourth quarter. We didn’t do that in the second half of the game. Those are things we’re going to get fixed going into Lindenwood,” said Hall.
