    Arizona woman dies in Miller County crash, troopers searching for vehicle involved

    MILLER COUNTY, Mo. — Authorities are investigating a crash that killed a woman from Phoenix, Arizona in Miller County early Sunday morning, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP).

    The crash occurred on Missouri Route 242 near Route MM at 12:20 a.m. as a man and woman from Phoenix rode east in a 2009 Harley Davidson Dyna Superglide motorcycle.

    The MSHP crash report states that the motorcycle traveled off the left side of MO-242, crashed into the median barrier and overturned, ejecting 35-year-old Larose Spencer from the vehicle. The motorcycle then returned to the road, skidding across the center of the roadway before traveling right and hitting a curb.

    In a post on X , MSHP Troop F says Spencer was fatally struck in the roadway by an unknown vehicle, which then left the scene. Spencer was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the motorcycle was taken by EMS to Lake Regional Hospital with moderate injuries.

    This is MSHP Troop F’s 32nd fatality in 2024.
