    Arkansas man killed after crash in Maries County

    MARIES COUNTY, Mo. — A man from Locust Grove, Arkansas was killed after a two-car crash on Sunday night.

    Elijah Woodward, 21, was traveling east on Highway 26 when the vehicle crossed the center line and struck an SUV traveling west.

    Woodward was ejected from his vehicle. He was taken to a hospital in Columbia and was pronounced dead later that night.

    The driver of the SUV was not injured, according to the MSHP crash report.

    This is the 25th fatality in Troop I in 2024.
