    Missouri State QB Jacob Clark named MVFC Offensive Player of the Week

    SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Missouri State senior quarterback Jacob Clark has been named the Missouri Valley Football Conference player of the week following the victory over Youngstown State.

    Clark completed 21 of 29 passes for 325 yards and three touchdowns. He was also the team’s top rusher, carrying the ball seven times for 63 yards.

    The Bears defeated the Penguins by a score of 38-31 to move the team to a record of 3-2.

    Clark was also announced Monday as an honorable mention pick for Stats Perform FCS National Offensive Player of the Week.

    Also recognized by the MVFC this week are: DT Eli Mostaert of North Dakota State (Defensive Player of the Week); DB Tyler Erkman of North Dakota (Newcomer of the Week); and RB CharMar Brown of North Dakota State (Special Teams Player of the Week).

    Missouri State is on a bye this week before traveling to Illinois State on Sept. 12.
