Endangered person from Nixa found safe

NIXA, Mo. — The Nixa Police Department (NPD) has issued an endangered person advisory for 46-year-old Michelle Airola, who went missing Friday night.

According to NPD, Airola was last seen at 309 North Estes Street at 10:04 p.m. Friday. Her vehicle — a white 2018 Volkswagon Tiguan bearing MO, GJ5Z0G — was last seen going north on North Estes Street.

Airola is described as a white female who is 5’07” inches tall and 190 lbs. She has brown hair, green eyes, normal complexion and is wearing unknown clothing.

NPD says Airola called the suicide hotline earlier Friday. She came home and went into the bathroom, according to her mother. She told her mother she was going to a walk-in clinic in Nixa, but left the residence without telling her mother why.

Officers arrived at the address and found blood in the bathroom. Airola’s mother said there was more blood, but she cleaned most of it up. Law enforcement then contacted Airola, who told them she was not okay. When asked about her location, she hung up. Her last known cell phone ping was located in the Springfield area.

Anyone seeing the missing person, suspect, associate, or vehicle, or anyone who has any information related to Airola is advised to immediately dial 911 or call the Nixa Police Department at 417-582-1030.
