Silver Dollar City announces new 2025 expansion including seasonal attractions

BRANSON, Mo. — Silver Dollar City (SDC) has announced an expansion that will see new seasonal festivals, shows, and a centerpiece for Christmas.

SDC announced plans for the 2025 expansion called The Plaza. It will double the size of The Grand Exposition with redesigned shade structures, more seating, food booths and an entertainment stage.

In the spring, a new festival will debut featuring a parasol sky over Valley Road.

SDC also announced summer nights will include drone and firework shows.

In the winter season, SDC hopes to capture the feel of Rockefeller Center in 2025 with a new Grand Plaza Fir Christmas tree-lighting ceremony, music, and the flicker of 150,000 lights.

The tree on the square will remain.
