HENRY COUNTY, Mo. — An Osceola man fled from a scheduled court hearing and is currently on the run.

According to the Henry County Missouri Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Facebook page, at 10:38 a.m., Christian Hunter Thompson, 23, was scheduled to appear as a part of an ongoing criminal case filed by the State and fled the courtroom after being given a request by the Judge.

Thompson was not in custody at the time.

The press release said during the proceedings, Thompson turned to run, disregarded the order to stop and continued to flee. Deputies immediately gave chase, but he was able to evade arrest.

A sheriff was able to locate Thompson traveling as a passenger in a vehicle near the courthouse, but again Thompson was able to escape.

The court issued an arrest warrant for Thompson’s original felony charge of stealing.

If you have any information about Thompson’s whereabouts, HCSO asks you to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 660-885-5587.
