ASH GROVE, MO – After a month-long search, the City of Ash Grove has tracked down its missing dump truck.

Last month, local authorities reported that someone broke into the town’s public works garage sometime between Sept. 13 and Sept. 16, and took off with the vehicle. That’s when the police department put out a call for the public to help find the truck. The vehicle was clearly marked with the city’s name and logo, yet nobody reported seeing any sign of it.

In a Facebook post on Monday, the police department announced a break in the case. This came when officers received word about the truck being located nearly 100 miles away in Camden County. Arrangements were then made to return the vehicle to Ash Grove.

Authorities haven’t confirmed if there have been any arrests, and they’re still asking the public for help solving the crime. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call 911.
